Dimebag Darrell Abbott was shot and killed onstage one year ago today.

    Seems like only yesterday. :(

One of my brother's classmates at OSU was at that concert, and I was down in Columbus the day after it happened. <shrug> I won't even pretend I like Pantera but that is not a good way to go.

John Lennon was shot and killed 25 years ago today. Strange world.

So now what we have is a John Lennon thread that mentions the Dimebag Darrell murder and a Dimebag Darrell thread that segues into John Lennon's murder. We now have parity! :D ;)

Amazing isn't it...seems like I was just hearing about this on the radio a couple months ago.

    Add me to that list.

I seem to have this odd habit of "discovering" music that I like only after hearing about the artist's death. It happened with Rick James, it's happening now with Pantera.

I never really was a big fan of Pantera, but it sucks that Dimebag had to go out like that. RIP, Dimebag. :(
