    Hey guys,

I have a Macbook with 10.4 of course. You know how your monitor will dim a little when inactive? I like that when I'm in class and such, but not when I'm watching shows.

I know how to turn it off, but I want it to either be:

    a) Selective about when it should dim and not
    b) be on a much longer timer.

Does anyone know of any mods or anything I can get to add more options for this feature?

    Thanks in advance.

I can't actually get it to turn off properly on my MBP. It always dims, no matter what the setting is.

I read something on Apple's developer site about this but the workaround was just something like 'put the computer to sleep' which didn't make any sense to me.

So, yeah, any mod that helped solved this problem would be great.

I know you've probably done this and you're way smarter, but be sure that:

    1. you've made those changes in the Energy Saver Preferences
    2. You're setting it for Plugged in or Battery, appropriately
    3. There's not some app you have running in the background that's not properly programmed to have the energy saver ignore it's active process.
