Disabling automatic termination no longer works?

i hate Automatic termination.

In the past, i always disabled it with

defaults write -g NSDisableAutomaticTermination -bool TRUE

but that no longer seems to work. Did they remove the choice? did the defaults name change? am i doing something wrong?
