It's official: Pixar has dumped Disney. And I'm not sorry -- not one little bit. Eisner is a grade-A jerk, and Pixar can get good distribution through any one of several other companies (Warner, Dreamworks, etc.) They'll be having gunfights to see who gets to shack up with Pixar. What still rankles is that Disney has the rights to produce sequels to the 7 films in the current deal. And since Disney hasn't made a good movie in ten years, and since their sequels are even worse, Pixar's awesome stories and characters will suffer by association. Makes me vomit just to think about it. "Toy Story 3: Woody gets stolen again!" To anyone who thinks Pixar needs Disney, think again. Pixar is solely responsible for the success of their films. Disney is solely responsible for the success of plush toys.
