I recently replaced a 12" monitor on a Mac LC series with a 14" PC monitor. I used an adapter purchased from ebay which is very similar to the one that can be bought at Griffin technologies. The picture displays perfectly and you can see all 4 edges of the desktop. The problem is that when you try and run a program or open a new window, it's size is physically too large to fit within the confines of the desktop. I don't really understand this as the desktop fits on the screen very well. Loads of people have replaced their old mac monitors so I'm guessing I'm not the first person to have come across this. I don't know any of this Mac's specifications unfortunately except that it's defiantly and LC series, which number I'm not sure but it's the one with the low profile case and a separate monitor as opposed to an integrated one. I believe it was made around 1993-1994 and has not been upgraded (software or hardware) so the o/s and hardware specification should be the same as when it left the factory. Any ideas?
