    Hi everyone,

I have changed my ISP and now have a dynamic IP address.
Im wanting to use a free DNS service like everydns.com so that I can still connect to my leopard server from outside the office.

I know i have to setup a domain on my server and have it point to the dynamic IP address.

Question: What sort of client should I use that will update my DNS record when my IP address changes?
Also what free dns services are around that support Mac's? I use everydns.com but their DNS clients are only for windows.

    Thanks,
    Malloy

DynDNS is free and it has a Mac OS updater client:

Another possibility: many routers now support dynamic DNS with the more popular services like DynDNS. This is ideal, as it means one less thing to run on your Mac. You can find a partial list on DynDNS's site under "certified hardware," but I think many more routers support this than just the ones listed there.

    NO-IP.com

If you have a free account, once in awhile (90 days without activity I think) you might get a email requesting you to renew the domain.
