I have just got my iPP and don't really like the screen, it is very bright and white which makes the colours look a little washed out. Also gives me a bit of eye strain.

I much prefer a screen with a yellow tint, it makes the colours look warmer and more vibrant, and is also a lot easier on the eye.

Just wondered what you guys have, are they all the white bright type.

I am very underwhelmed by the quality of the screen, was expecting something much better for the price, viewing angles are not very good either.

I thought I was the only one that felt underwhelmed with the screen quality. Terrible viewing angles and screen seems more purple on angle. Compared to my air2, terrible in my opinion. I have been trying to look up threads on it and can't find any info. Heading to the store to see if it was just mine or they are all like that. Was hoping for more for the price and the way they hyped it up. Love the speakers though and really like the onscreen keyboard.

Certainly some variation in the two I've seen. But not something that really concerns me.

Thanks for that, at least it confirms there are both types out there. Mine is like the one on the right but i would prefer the one on the left.

I don't suppose you own both of them and you could check to see if there is anything in the serial number that might give the make of the display used in each one.

On other Apple products the general consensus on these forums seems to be that LG make the bright white screens and Samsung make the yellow tint screens.

The only info I can glean from the serials is they're both week 41.

Personally, I prefer the screen on the right! Which is good because that's my one haha.

Did you notice if the colour tint changes as you look at the iPad slightly off angle was more or less between the two? This is one thing that bugs me is that the screen tint does change a bit too much when looking at the iPad pro from an angle....

I would just like an accurate screen...not a too yellow or too blue...just D65 accurate please!

But if I had to choose I would err to blue as if its too yellow it just looks dirty to me.

Mine is actually looking slightly warmer than my iPhone 6S Plus which is slightly blue, so I think my screen is probably pretty accurate but I may get my colorimeter on it to see for sure later.

In the past there have been two screen manufacturers for a particular model. I seem to recall previous manufacturers are Sharp, LG, Samsung and Japan Display. But based on feedback so far, at least for the 6S Plus, there seems to be only one around right now. I suspect there may be only one manufacturer for the early iPad Pros as well and any variance you see, is the variance from tolerances and not different screen types.

On Wednesday when I got my iPad I commended on another thread that I though the off-axis colour was poor. But that I think this is just because the display is considerably larger.

I'm sure it's technically on par or better than the Air 2.
