Why do you feel compelled to push your dogma on people?

    Nope, sorry.

But perhaps I just wasn't getting the full message because I couldn't watch the video to the end because it was so irritating.

I didn't think it was possible to want to become a Christian any less than I already do, but that video did. Thanks. :)

And what makes him think that it'll do anything for non-Christians?

I'm sensing that we're not going to hear from the OP again...

Let's be fair here: nobody is forcing anybody to click the link. We all have the right to talk about things that are important to us. If you don't want to hear it, don't listen. No need to get into knots about it.

Lets be fair, I don't come to Mac board for Sunday school, either. ;)

No offense to Macpastor - he's a good dude. Just don't think this is the place for it, that's all.

That's true, and if he had said that it was a video that Christians would enjoy, I would say that negative comments would be inappropriate. But I think by saying that it might entice non-Christians to become Christians, non-Christians are justified in leaving their comments, negative or positive. If the OP does want to covert people with his videos, I imagine the feedback from his potential audience is useful – if he gets a bad reaction, he might want to rethink his delivery.

If God is as clever as they say he is, he'd change his ad agency. That is total crap.

Points taken. However, I suspect the more hardline Christian fundamentalists have jaded some of us. I can certainly understand why, considering the brash messages of certain Christian groups as of late. Had somebody from the Phelps clan try to exert their dogma on these boards, certainly an extreme negative reaction would be warranted. I hardly think there's anything particularly offensive about the OP.

I hate to be the one to point out the obvious.. but the title of this forum is "Politics, Religion, Social Issues" I think he is well within his rights to post this video here.

I clicked, I watched it all the way though... I got bored, I moved on..

The most annoying thing about people is that they fell the urge to share their views on everything. The great thing about the internet is that you can always click on something else. Now, if you will excuse me, my palms are bleading on my keyboard.

We've had petitions for this and that, we've had cute cat videos, exploding Pepsi videos, gross cartoon videos, we've had endless "OMFG XXXXX SUXZ!" posts, we've had any number of "Best {website/game/video} EVAR!" posts with no explanation of the content -- which I consider bordering on spam...

    Not to mention the "Boy does this {rightwing group/ leftwing group/ religious group/ secular lobby group/ government/ corporation/ nation/ terrorist organization/ anti-terrorist organization} ever discriminate against {name your concern here}!" posts

Whether you agree on the merits of the content or not, the thread is

    1) Posted in the appropriate forum Politics, Religion, Social Issues
    2) Clearly identified by the OP that its content is a pro-Christian video.

Which gives any thinking person the ability to ignore, or follow the link, at their will.

And, incidentally, allows MR posters to disagree with the position expressed... as we do. Often. And hopefully respectfully of the OP.

perhaps the posting is within the letter of the law, but not the spirit. its not the purpose of the forum to post propaganda and then run away. if the OP actually wanted to discuss his religion, fine, but i don't appreciate feeling like i'm at a sermon.

i've noted that the OP has not yet returned.

Actually this was originally posted in the Community Discussion forum, and not Politics, Religion, Social Issues. I reported this post and asked it to be moved here soon after seeing it... I don't know if I was directly responsible for this post getting moved, but it wasn't posted in the correct forum originally.
