I use it only rarely...I generally just use the built-in OS X tools.

I have it installed primarily because there are occasional stuffit files. I hate though how it defaults to replace BOMArchiverHelper for unarchiving Zip files. :( Every once in a while it's handy. Plus it supports some features BAH does not -- for instance, I found out recently that passworded ZIPs are supported at the command line and by StuffIt Expander but not by BOH.

Me three. It's like having WinZIP on the PC.

Check out The Unarchiver for an Expander replacement.

No, it's like having WinRAR on the PC. Windows can open ZIP files out of the box.

I had it on my my Mac to open on old file, but I've since deleted it. Luckily Mac developers are moving away from the format and I rarely use it.

After getting the Unarchiver I got rid of it. It feels good to be Stuffit free! :)
