I have some HD movies on my itunes in .mp4 and they will not sync to my iphone 4.

They play fine on Itunes and they stream fine with homesharing to Apple TV 2.

Why will it not sync to the iphone 4?

That is odd, for me all my movies that I either ripped or converted that are HD have been able to sync and play on my iPhone 4. Try changing the extension from .MP4 to .M4V

The iPhone supports a lower sustained playback data rate than the :apple:tv, so that might be the reason. The :apple:tv can support I believe 5MB/sec while the iPhone is a good bit lower.
