Check this out. It a UK model S-series VAIO that beats the crap out of all the models available here in Canada (or the States). This thing is LOADED!!! Makes me drool. 2.0Ghz Centrino, a whole Gig of RAM, Bluetooth (which is very rare on PC laptops), 13.3inch widescreen which is the perfect size IMO, everything. The thing retails for 1799 British pounds which is ALOT of money. Now this guy on Ebay has it (actually 10) supposodlly for 650 pounds!!!. At $1461 Canadian dollars thats a $1000 Canadian less than the S-Series sold here which come with less stuff! Now does this look legit?

And here is the spec page from Sony UK for this model:

    And our crappy Canadian models:

I've seen similar items being sold like this many times before - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Check the guy's references, etc. and that might help your investigation.

I think the guy deserves your money more than you, if you willing to be suckered into a "to good to be true" type deal.

So give him the money, and tell us how it turns out.

No... just from reading the above...

...and eBay have removed the auction so it obviously wasn't! ;)

A fool and his money.... ;)

I agree, you really have to watch out for things like this. Mind you, just using common sense is usually the best advice.

If you have to ask if it's too good to be true, walk away.
