There are several Windows DVD players out there that take advantage of Dobly Headphone sound processing. When will we see something like this on a Mac?

For those unfamiliar with Dolby Headphone sound processing... http://www.dolby.com/dolbyheadphone/

On a similar note, does anybody know if, since the new G5 PowerMacs have 5.1 output, there might be a revision of DVD Player (perhaps for Smeagol?) that actually outputs the sound in 5.1, rather than downmixing it to 2-channel.

    Much thanks :)

Haven't heard anything yet of Dolby Headphone...

The DVD Player in Panther will support full 5.1 out.

I have a sonica audio card plugged into my PB and I believe that emulates dolby surround sound in headphones.
