Dude it would so work, hey they could make it even bigger and add cinematics and stuff for the ipod video version, and have high res game play, add slopes, hey wait you turn with the touch sensitivity on the clickwheel use the middle button to attack/open/use and use the skip buttons for cycling through weapons and passing turns and use the play button for moving forward, you could add a game menu easilly through the menu system by hitting menu, they could add more graphics, level music (hint your music!/ and the whole doom level music converteted to mp3's/switch threw the menu)
and it would work really well on an ipod with a high frame rate (DOOM on iPod linux)

    My head just exploded.

Anyway, the battery life for an app. like that would be terrible for an iPod.

I love Doom. Do not mention the Doom film or Doom RPG.

I agree, a Doom iPod based game would eat power like no ones business. :D

Well, they ported the original Doom to the iPod, and that swallows huge chunks of battery life

What I don't get is why Apple doesn't allow 3rd-party developed iPod games to be loaded into the iPod somehow. Yeah, yeah, iPod Linux, but I'd love if there was a Tetris clone next to Parachute and Brick.

I didn't actually care for a link, just to know that one really existed is all.
