I accidentally dropped my iPhone into a chest full of diamonds and now it is really scratched but not broken. How do I fix this for cheap? I can't afford a new phone and using it with all these scratches is not any good.

Not to mention, the iPhone was dropped into a "chest full of diamonds."

Have it replaced with your chest full of gold.

Sounds like you need to spend $150?

And DVDs are plastic. I highly doubt this would do anything other than further scratch your screen.

    New iPhone is ~$700.

They are cutting you a serious deal on YOUR **** up. Be thankful.

Has anyone had success with putting on after market screens from those parts websites? Like this - http://www.repairsuniverse.com/apple-iphone-4s-lcd-touch-screen-assembly-replacement.htmlI might do that.

    ----------

They just say $700 to scare you into thinking $200+ is cheap.

    ----------

I'm serious, I work at a jewelry store

No. If you go to an Apple Store and say, I would like to buy a 16GB iPhone 5 with no contract, they will say, "Ok, that will be $650 plus tax."

That is the price. They are not trying to scare anyone.

It only costs $199 as a new customer because the carrier paid a $450 subsidy in exchange for you signing a 2 year contract.

My sister owns a jewelry store and doesn't have "chests full of diamonds" that anything could fall into.

I can get an entire Mac Mini with 500GB storage for $600 but a 16GB iPhone costs more?

So just carry a mini around in your pocket ;) Size and weight are HUGE cost factors for mobile devices.

Why do people do this? I mean is it fun to do this? Do they really have nothing better to do than do this? I guess I have nothing better to do than reply. lol.

Feeding Troll: You'd have to drop it pretty hard into your chest of diamonds I imagine for it to do a lot of damage... Having actually known a jeweler and seen his workshop, most diamonds are in small ziplock baggies secured away in locked drawers. Chest full of diamonds my ***. lol.
