Sorry if this is a redundant thread (searched and didn't find anything on it).

But please tell me there is a way around the incompatibility of the USB WiFi Adapter. I'll be in the dorms again in January, and I do not have a wireless router there. Any help on this would really help me out.

Do your iBook have an AirPort card? If so, then just use the ethernet port for internet, then use the AirPort to share the network, and have the DS access that.

Damn that was easy. Good call Raven. I am almost embarrased to say this. But how do I do that? (share the network through my Airport Card?)

Actually I am embarrased to ask that.

Prefs > Sharing > Internet > From: Ethernet, To: Airport

I believe that should do it.

Sol, yes I was following your thread earlier and it is very helpful.
Charmin, again very helpful. I've been using Macs for about 15 years, and I think that is the first time I've asked for help in about 5-6 years. Ohh my pride is soo hurt. Ok, I'm over it.
