Hey

Anyone know of any websites that I can get a firewire 400/800 hard drive enclosure that can take to drives? I'd like to have my 400 SATAs working together if that is possible. Would that be hard to do? Or would it be better to just have two 400 gb hard drives in separate enclosures?

I just recieved one of these from a seller on EBAY

I bought this so I could hook 2 - 200gb drives to my new IMAC 20". It uses on as a master and the other as a slave. Worked great on my IMAC.

I bought this one because the bigger drives heat up a lot and this as a very good fan in it. To get 2 seperate cases it has cost me in the low 30 dollar range in the past and neither have fans, so over all I think this is better.
They shipped it quick, however, UPS ground took a week to get it to me.

Yes. Other World Computer has a few: External-Enclosures. Just scroll down to where it says Multi-Drive. I have a single drive case form them and love it :D.

Just do it, you know you want to! OWC makes great cases, you won't be unhappy. The quality, in my opinion is unmatched.

Yeah I probably will be doing it... It's not so much about quality or anthing that I am worried about... Just wishing a tad cheaper...

there are plenty of sites that sell mac stuff. Google it really quick and you'll find a crap load. Are you going to put those drives in a RAID array...that'd be sweet. (drools)...speeeed

So can you RAID the two drives together using FireWire800?

http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other World Computing/MEFW912AL2/

Would you be able to do it with this drive?
It looks like this enclosure supports RAID 0 (striping) at the hardware level, so the 2 drives mount as a single drive, or they can be used for software RAID 1 (mirroring) for redundancy. Check out this page:
