I have a G5 and a G4 emac that I would like to add a second monitor to each of them. Remarkably, searching under extended desktop or dual monitors have gotten me a whole lof of nothing.

With the G5 I gather I just need to hook up a 2nd monitor to the back of the machine, but then what? Go to Displays in the System Prefs?

And for the emac, should I use a VGA adapter to link the emac and 2nd monitor together?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

G5- the computer auto detects, then you just have to set which monitor is #2, which side, and what background (pretty cool control-click each desktop and it will get you a contextual menu with a link to the display properties for each).

Emac- don't know, but that sounds about right.
