    Hi Guys,

I"m trying to copy a CD with disk utility but i'm coming to grief.

    The apple instructions say:

My problem is that when i go File > New i only have the options for "Blank disk image" and "new disk image from folder"... "Disk image from (select a device)" is grayed out.

    Is something wrong??

    Thanks

You must ensure that the CD/DVD is highlighted in the list of disks in Disk Utility before following those instructions.

Looks like it must be a problem with the type of CD you are trying to image. Disk utility cannot copy audio Cd's only Data CD's/DVD's. Presumably audio Cd's would be copy protected.

    Cheers.
