DVD disk copy

    i have a dvd that i need to make a disk copy of... is there any program to download that will take and copy a dvd using 1 drive... just copy the disk and then insert a blank one and then it burns... any programs like this? thanks guys. and yes it will be legal copying.

    Mactheripper is what you need to copy the disc:
    http://www.mactheripper.org/

    I use Roxio Popcorn to burn, but it's not free - not sure of any free ones.

    Are you talking movie DVD (answered above) or data DVD?

    Or even a non-commercial video DVD (like one created by iDVD), which is more like data and doesn't need MTR.

    idvd movie

    its a dvd from idvd... i just want to make copies of it to be able to play on a dvd player like the original.

    Disk Utility can do this.

    File -> New -> New Disk Image from (device).

    Then select the newly created image and burn it to a new disc.

    and i get the disk image from using mac the ripper?

    No. From Disk Utility. You only need MTR if the disc is a commercial disc and you need to remove CSS.

    ...and if you want an easier, on-click-solution, Toast or (if you don't wanna spend that much) Disco should be able to make a copy of the disk (since it shouldn't contain any encryption/protection). :)

    it kept giving me an error about some input/output something or another

    What point in the process was it? Post a screenshot and we might be able to help.

    Or, as Mitth says get the trial of Disco and just get it done.
