Hoping someone can help out here....I'm wanting to assemble a showreel of various feature films and television dramas I have wrked on. Is there a way I can extract clips from DVD films? I found one that makes it so you can capture stills - so am looking for similar for clips

    cheers

    MacTheRipper, then DVD2oneX.

First ones free, second one will cost you.

I've used Openshiva and Handbrake to extract DVD (using DVD backup first). You can extract chapters with Openshiva but then you'll need a movie editor to get the bits you want.

I use OSEx 0.0101 to extract the DVD contents and then the various tools described here.

Note the only commercial software needed with this is Quicktime Pro, to merge back the audio and video (well worth it anyway in my opinion).
