I had an old graphite G4 with a DVD-RAM drive in it. It was the pre-cursor to the superdrive. Anyhow, my portfolio work is stuck on these DVD-RAM disks and I have no way of getting the files off because no computers have the drive anymore.

    Any ideas?

Anyone in / around chicago with a similar unit? I'll make it worth your while to help me retreive this stuff. It's super important. Yes, I am actually begging.

The latest LG superdrives can read and write these. The drives can be had for ~$60. Panasonic and Toshiba also make multi drives that can handle the minus and RAM formats.

    Check out pricewatch.com

If you are stuck you could always get yourself LG Model : GSA4160B writer.

These support DVD -RAM disks as well being Dual Layer and supporting both Plus and Minus format.

These drives can also be made multi-region by a firmware patch.

I don't know how compatable they are with Mac's though
