    Hi,

I have a Dual 867MHz G4 with a DVD reader/CD burner combo, running OSX 10.2.8, and I live in England (DVD Region 2)

Recently, I played a Region 1 DVD (by mistake) in the mac (before I upgraded to 10.2.8), and now, I can't play any region 2 discs. The DVD player application comes up with a message saying something like "This disc does not match the region of the drive. You may change the region 4 more times". There are two buttons: a Cancel button and a "Set Region" button (or something like that), but the Set Region button is greyed out, so I cannot click on it to change the settings.

I can't see any other way of changing what region my mac thinks it's in - the keyboard mapping is set to British, and from what I can see, my Mac think's its British!

How can I change the region of my drive so as I can play Region 2 discs?

    Thanks for the help :)

    Program called Region might help

    http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/13801

But I'm not sure if there is any place to download it, since it looks like the company that made it went under and they freely release the code for someone else to keep it going.
