EAC for mac?

hi all.

i was wondering if anyone knew of a mac version or equivalent of exact audio copy?

i basically want to get some mp3s from my cds (i usually rip into aac in itunes) without having to use itunes for a friend who is an mp3 zealot

does such a thing exist?

You can set iTunes to rip to MP3 instead of AAC, or you can just convert to MP3 in iTunes

yeah there is that but i kinda want to bypass itunes because i don't want the hassle of deleting stuff from my library.

i just want the quickest route from cd -> mp3 file

are there any stand-alone mp3 ripping programs for the mac?

i was sure that there would be, but i my searches have been fruitless.

http://www.versiontracker.com is your friend. Search for MP3 and lots of different options come up. One might be what you want.

weird man..

i swear i checked both macupdate and versiontracker. i must've been doing something wrong because i found it hard to believe that there was nothing like this.
