Might be reason enough for me to finally buy a 360.

I loves me some™ Earthworm Jim.

I'm more hoping it comes out for the Wii though as well, last I recall it was a Nintendo game, at least that's what I remember playing it on.

    Earthworm Jim 1 > Classic
    Earthworm Jim 2 > hmm...
    Earthworm Jim 3D > no.

going off my experience with these games and the rhythm of life I think I'll cast a doubtful eye over the new game until I play otherwise.

Agreed. EWJ was so effing awesome. EWJ2, meh, good, but not great. EWJ3D sucked as bad as Superman 64.

    Never played Earthworm Jim.

The guy I interviewed at Hudson told me there would be a new Bonk game, however :)

Oooo... you need to play Earthworm Jim 1. It was on both the SNES and Genesis, I think, so hopefully it'll make the virtual console in one form or another.

There was a Windows/PC version as well I think... I'm looking forward to playing Bonks Adventure, too. Never knew anyone with a TGX16, so never had a chance to play it, though I hear it's excellent.

I mostly played the second one, it was the only one I actually owned. I don't remember much of the first one though, I only played it for a bit at my cousin's house. I remember I was really feeling the urge to play it one day but I didn't have a TV with the right connections on it, they were all taken and I didn't want to screw anything up, so I plugged it in to my PC at the time which had a TV card in it and beat the game in all its expanded 1280x1024 glory. :D

I just hope they keep the cows.

Earthworm Jim has to be one of the best platformers of all time. Part 2 is good as well.

I don't know if I can say this. But if you legally own BC Kid (A Bonk conversion for the Amiga) then you can go to Factor 5's website and download the UAE rom. I have the original :D and it's an absolutely fantastic little game. Climbing up walls with your teeth, head stomping on enemies, FLOATING! I could never get the hang of that, bashing away on the flip button. That bit where you smash on the big dino's head to open his mouth is pretty mad considering the age of the game. And that elevator to the first boss!

Good memories of Bonk. it was a tremendous game.

Yeah, Earthworm Jim was effing awesome as one poster said. It has so much character and wackiness.

Earthworm Jim 2, I've never played. Earthworm Jim 3D sucked.

So I'll be watching this, but if they go 3D, then I'll bet it'll suck.

I can't believe the non-love for EWJ2! I loved the game...all the different game types...The regular platforming game in the a few levels, the weird floaty thing with the game show at the end of the level (What color is Jim's red gun? A.) blue b.) yellow c:0 green), and the best part of all, Puppy Love! Who didn't love to bounce the little puppies off the big mattress and into the puppy grinding machine?

I don't know how 2 games is too much? There was earthworm 3-D which technically was the 3rd game but I never considered that a real EWJ game.

Even so..3 games isn't a whole lot compared to the current game titles.

wow. I wonder how many kids that own 360s even know of Earthworm Jim at this point. Haha. I don't know, it was good back in the day on Sega Genesis but I'm not quite sure I'd be that interested now to play it, it seems to me like a title that will be disapointing as just another "average" platformer.

    EDIT: 1000th post

Wasn't it bouncing puppies off of a marshmallow into Peter's house?

Ugh, those PSP screenshots are horrible. I hope that it is just a bonus level remake of a level and the whole game isn't going to be a complete remake.

Part of the beauty of the first game was the sprites used to make the levels and background. There was tremendous amounts of detail.

I think there are still a lot of EWJ fans out there, and I'm glad they are resurrecting this game. And the people who never hard of him, you will be surprised by a hopefully something good.

The game MDK (also by Shiny Entertainment) has a couple of Earthworm Jim references, including cows...pretty funny....

Out of curiosity, was the game based on the show, or the show on the game?
