Okay. I'm mac illiterate; I just got my first one. I'm going crazy as how to make an uploaded image smaller in iphoto without losing parts of it. I just want to shrink it so it's a small enough file to upload...on myspace. I know, i know. I'm a nerd. But I'm not a freaky nerd! I'm an in college suffer from boredom nerd. Yes, anyhow, anyone want to take pity on my ignorance and inform me?

Within iPhoto, just use file--export. Then specify the size you want. It will create a copy of the file, leaving your original the original size.

If you want more control (specifying the quality of a JPEG, for example), you'll need to use an additional program. Preview allows you to do this, but not resize the photo. Photoshop is better.

A lot of people swear by a free little program called ImageWell to do all this.
