Government Discount. . .

Somene already mentioned it, but they got the facts slightly wrong. You might want to consider the Government Employee (Federal/State/Local) discount that is available. It is almost as much as (and occasionally more than) the EDU discount. Moreover, it allows an employee to " purchase or “sponsor” up to six system bundles each calendar year (January 1-December 31). “Sponsoring” means placing an order for a family member or friend." Do you know *anyone* who falls into this category who would help you out? Then your conscience can be clear, and you can still get a great discount.

Hope this helps.

Check out this option. Become a ADC Student which costs 99$, and u recieve a huge discount on ONE system. The only problem is, is that its a once in a lifetime discount cuz its so huge. You knock off 1500$ in some cases

So where would one find the details of how MUCH that ADC discount would be? I do SOME programming AND we're a homeschooling household so we could get that discount instead... trying to figure out which would be best. I'm looking at a G4 iBook right now and possibly a G5 Tower later.

The ADC discount is 20% I believe.

BUT, it is a ONE time, ONE purchase ONLY discount. Meaning, if you use it on an iBook G4 now, that's it. You've used the discount and you'll never get it again. So, if you're going to use the ADC discount, either make one large purchase (PowerMac, display, and iBook), or just get the PowerMac G5 and Cinema Display(s).

Okay how about within one apple educational pricing year you purchase a computer at an apple retail store at the educational price and then within the same year you purchase another computer online at the educational discount?

Is this possible?

you may purchase one laptop and one desktop per year with education pricing - any more than that and you have to pay full price.
