Effective Power on Apple Watch

Anyone know when this bug will be fixed? Or at least anyway to avoid your watch being bricked?

That string of characters that you can iMessage to someone to crash their phone and messages app. Apparently it's bricking Apple Watchs

Someone sent that to me and I raised my wrist and of course my watch crashed. It came right back on, like a respring, and everything was fine.

I've heard of some watches being bricked but mine was just fine.
