    One day, one day..

... an enthusiastic crowd will line up to see something I've done.

Till that day, I can only dream.

    No checkout counters?

Do they really handle all transactions with handheld scanners?
I'm curious to know how well this works. In one hand it sounds remarkably simple, on the other hand I can see how it would really complicate things. What happens when the store's super crazy busy and everyone's buying something? Are there dedicated "cashiers" with just scanners, and other employees offering just help -- or do workers do both? Do lines start forming next to employees in the middle of the store? Do people cut in line easier? How do they deal with cash transactions?

    I'm genuinely curious...

I can maybe see this happening in a less-trafficked store, but NO WAY in NYC...
