Entourage New Mail Notification

I have a G4 running 10.3.9. Entourage is 10.1.4 (Office X).

In my Entourage general preferences, under the tab Notification, next to "When new mail arrives" I have checked the box "Animate icon." But it NEVER does!! It is the icon in the dock I assume should be animated.

What am I doing wrong?

I just tried checking the box on my Office2004, and the dock icon bounces when I get an email. It's kind of annoying though, so I turned it off again.

If the option is there, you would think it would work!?! Yes, it does mean the Entourage icon in the dock will bounce. It does for me. But, I'm running OS X.4.6 and Office 11.2.3.

Office updates are free, so you might try checking for that.
