Epson Printer Driver Grief!

Hello!


very frustrated...

can't get an epson r200photo printer to work.

print utilities sees the printer, but i can't download the driver from epson's website:

ftp://ftp.epson.com/drivers/epson11224.sea.hqx


and when i use the cdrom that came with the printer to install it, nothing happens....


in printer list, under edit printerlist, it sees the r200, but it says driver not installed.



any help please?!

It downloads fine for me....I'm on dialup so I'm not downloading the whole thing. Try it again. Maybe the server was busy at the time you were trying to download it.

The Driver CD doesn't work? I'd call EPSON and have them send you another one then. That does happen sometimes. Its very typical of HP printers to not have the Driver CD work. I've had a few that haven't worked at all.

Have you tried repairing the Disk Permissions (in the Disk Utility), before installing the driver?
