right, i don't know what the **** to do here :)
this is such a noob question
i was getting info on my Utilities folder and i dragged the icon on the Preview
part of the info window on to the Desktop because i thought that'd save a copy of the icon itself cause i wanted to edit it (i've changed it from the original one).
instead i got sort of like a short cut to the Utilitites folder but there's no little arrow to indicate that this is a shortcut.
now,if i drag this to the bin and empty the bin, will i actually delete all my Utilities?
HELP!

That's your actual Utilities folder. Don't delete it. Drag it back to the Applications folder. Copy the icon from the image above the preview (at the top) and work from that instead.

Do you still have the Utilities folder inside the Applications folder of your Hard Drive? If not, you need to put the one on your desktop back into the Applications folder. DO NOT put it in the Trash bin.

Did you install the combo update too? You may be fine without them but I guess you could try getting them from another PPC machine. Don't get them from an Intel one. :)
