Error when DVD burning

Hello everybody.

I'm quite new to Mac, and although everything is pretty clear, I haven't yet figured out how to burn a DVD.

Everytime I try, it'll give an error 0x8002006E and stop burning.

- Reading is and has always been fine.
- I'm using Philips DVD-R discs.
- I'm on a white 2Ghz MacBook It's supposed to be able to burn DVD-R, right?

I have tried to do it from the finder, and creating a disc image, and burning it from the disk utility.

Try a different brand of DVD-R discs.

Yep..usually those errors are caused by a bad DVD, or set of DVDs. Try a different brand.

You could also try adjusting the burn speed. You're given the option to change just before you press "burn".

What was the final solution? Using another disk brand, or reducing burn speed?

Yes you should always report what worked and what solution to the problem worked for you so it will benefit others with the same problem.
