I'm trying to share my Internet connection from my Mac Pro with a Powerbook but am unable to get a WAN IP address. I do however get a LAN connection on my Powerbook. The Mac Pro connects to the Internet just fine. I've had this working before but must have messed with some setting somewhere. The Mac Pro connects (Ethernet 1) to a wired router which is in turn connected to a cable modem. The Powerbook connects to Ethernet 2 on the Mac Pro. On the Mac Pro I have both "Ethernet 1" and "Ethernet 2" chosen as services. "Ethernet 1" has a green dot next to it while "Ethernet 2" has an orange one. Using two copies of IP Widget I can verify that I've got both a LAN (192.168.x.x) and a WAN IP address. In the "Sharing" preference pane in the "Internet sharing" section I have configured it as follows: "Share your connection from Ethernet 1 to computers using Ethernet 2". A green dot is shown next to "Internet sharing: on" which I assume means it's working (or should be). So what's wrong with my setup?
