Does anyone know of a website that clearly and easily shows the evolution of the older G4 Powermacs? I hear names and such thrown around a lot, but I don't know what the significance of the names are (ie Sawtooth, Quicksilver). Also, a website that lists features as well would be nice too.

    Thanks,
    Scottie

Maybe have a look at Mactracker. It's an app, not a site per se, but it's very comprehensive and you can install it on your iPod.

I always find Low End Mac pretty useful for finding info on Macs past and present.

I actually find EveryMac.com to be the best information source. Easy to navigate, clean interface.

Here is the G4 listing, for example: http://everymac.com/systems/apple/powermac_g4/index.html

They also have clones, processor upgrades, and lots of different ways to display information.

Or you can get the info from the horses mouth as it were. Use archive.org to look at old Apple websites.
