extracting audio from dvd

    i have a video_ts folder on my comp and i want to extract the audio from the show


    what is the easiest way to do it?

    There are probably a number of ways to do this, but I'd open the VIDEO_TS folder through DVD Player, and record the audio using Audio Hijack.

    There's a program called mACdec that can take the ac3 file and transcode it to AIFF without loss of quality. But first, you need to separate the VOB streams inside the _TS folder. For that, I've forgotten what I used. I used to do it all the time 2 years ago.

    Yep, it uses the AIFF format, and you can choose the sample rate. Audio Hijack Pro offers mp3, AAC, and Apple Lossless in addition to AIFF.
