Is it worth the money to get this to play a ps3 on my 20" iMac G5?

It depends on what you mean by 'worth it'. If you want to play PS3 on your iMac's display then yes it is. If you've got a big HDTV set somewhere in your house that you'd rather play on then the answer's no.

The Hybrid won't give you HD resolutions for the PS3, nor will it give true progressive scan, it will basically look the same as a PS3 connected to a standard SDTV.

Unless this is some new improved eyeTV, there is pretty bad latency when gaming with those. I've got an eyeTV250, and I cannot stand gaming on it.

I've heard that the models that have hardware encoding have some bad latency but this can be rectified by turning on game mode. Apparently the EyeTV Hybrid has virtually no latency although it does have some. Its supposedly not noticeable though and I've seen people on here post shots of them using the EyeTV with a Wii.
