Far Cry Wii is now known as Far Cry: Vengeance. From the screenshots, the textures don't look like anything special but it still has Far Cry's awesome water effects. IMO it looks much better than any Red Steel screenshots.

Yikes! Spooky hands! Somebody call the hand doctor! :D

Never played Far Cry. I usually stick to one or two FPS per console generation. I like the ones where there are different "jobs" (Medic, Engineer, etc…).

Looks somewhere in between the xbox and the 360 version....

Shame none of the evolution/instincts games cant hold a candle to
    the pc original...

The greens in the plants seemed to have a very tacky, fake feel to them, but i agree the water is nice. I'm not sure whether i like Red Steel or Far Cry's graphics better, i like both for different reasons.

I'd like it if this was really open ended, more a sandbox game that ran off a RTC where events happened at different times of the day (or a Zelda style 'enhanced' day). Just crawling around as some monster in an open ended game would be, with that controller, frankly awesome.

Graphics look equal to how my PC renders the original game. So I'm used to it. though I cannot wait for PC's Crysis

Looks xbox-ish to me....nothing interesting for me....I don't like far cry.

For the record: Drake looks better than red steel.

Here's a bit of meaty info.

    • Jump with nunchuck by lifting it
    • Slash Wiimote to make a feral attack, nunchuck to hit enemies in the back, etc.
    • Move Wiimote forward to zoom
    • Slash across screen for knife attack
    • Focusing both on graphics and gameplay, not straight port from Xbox versions.
    • Will be unveiled on the 14th at Nintendo Conference.
    • 480p widescreen
    • "Stable 30 FPS, like all prior instincts games"
    • Splitscreen multiplayer
    • Paraphrase: 'We've heard some online information from Nintendo, but we can't comment." (funny, cause he did. Look below)
    • Proposing possibilities to Nintendo Wii24connect
    • Single Player: 20+ hours
    • "We're testing online right now"
    • "Is there a possibility online play will show up in retail version?" (quick response) "Yep Yep."
    • Downloadable content is a possibility.
    • On sensitivity - "It's perfect"

Excellent. This just got propelled to my "buy" list. I'm seeing a lot of fun hours on that game.

*adds to his wish list of Wii games*

Even though I would've grabbed one for Metroid Prime: Corruption and Twlight Princess anyways, it's great to have another game on the list. :)
