I like basic glazed the best, powerded sugar is a close second and creme-filled chocolate is the third.

I also like long johns, but not as much.

Krispy Kreame, any kind. They make the best doughnuts, hands down, especially plain glazed when microwaved for 5 seconds. Of non-KKs, I'd have to say Winchell's Jelly Doughnuts. Hmm... now that I think about it, all of Winchell's are good.

I don't like doughnuts, fat pills actually. But I ended up eating two this morning because someone brought them in at the lab. One glazed, one chocolate covered, good with coffee. I think it was the first one I've had in months. I'd prefer a bagel or muffin instead.

not all donuts are "fat pills". not to mention the fact that who cares? don't have to eat them constantly. loosen up oldy mcOlderson

otis spunkmeyer muffins have something like 900 calories a piece...... not that that's what you're eating.

I realize that, but more often than not they do pack a punch. And it isn't a big deal, I run enough that it all evens out.

And if I care about it than thats fine, its not like I'm telling you you can't have one yourself.

    Krispy Kreme all the way!

I used to like dunkin Doughnuts, but then I had a fresh, hot krispy kreme, and I can't go back.

Also, for our canadian friends, I do like Tim Hortons, especially the timbits.

OMG Krispt Kremes are sooooooooooooo good....... Only when
they are just made though. When they aren't hot off the assembly
line, then they taste like any other doughnut, but right after they
are made, they are sooooooooooooooo good. We have 2 krispy
kreme locations in Austin, Texas. I wish I could go there more.

They will give you free doughnuts too. Only if you look poor like me :D.

As for my favorite doughnut. A whole bunch of glazed. Maybe one
with cinnamon and sugar on it. Yumsky.

Personally I stay away from donuts, unhealty. Will eat them if offered at a funtion an no other choice. No real favorite, not choosey. Prefer a bagel 1st with a muffin as an alternative. A Raisin Cinnamon Bagel is my favorite. My favorite muffin is a Brain Raisin. I just prefer something healthy!

I'm glad the world is now being exposed to Krispie Kreme. We've had them here in the South for decades, infact I live about five minutes from one of the first every opened, thirty some years ago.

I like old fashioned, but I don't eat a lot of them. Like Dukestreet, I'll take a bagel anyday.

I like bagels more than doughnuts. If you eat too many doughnuts you feel like ****. I still like doughnuts though, mostly things like apple fritters (probably a pastry not a doughnut) long johns, and jelly filled. Mmm, I'm getting hungry now.

French Cruellers, definitely. Got that eggy taste and unique consistency.

For the record, I think Krispy Kremes are nasty. Way too greasy and way way too sweet. The Pepsi of donuts, if you will. Can't understand why they get such slavish popularity. We just got one nearby and people were lining up hours before they opened, and not one damned (heh) Chik-fil-A in this entire region.

Sweet is good .... sour is good.

If its not sweet enought... it isnt worth being a doughnut...might as well just be a fekin bagel.

I like food and music that hits... that has a punch in one way or another. Nothing weak.... or flat.... too subtle.... or transparent.

A bagel with creme cheese is more unhealthy then a doughnut.
I read that somewhere. Bagels are not healthy. Sorry to inform
you of that. BUt they aren't healthy.

he didn't say he wanted cream cheese... just bagels

which are certainly healthier than donuts, though not "health food"

no one could think cream cheese is good for you. thought tofutti version isn't as bad.

The best doughnuts are Wall Drug doughnuts. For any of you lucky enough to someday go on a trip to see the Badlands and Mt. Rushmore, make sure you stop by my hometown of Wall, SD and hit the huge Wall Drug tourist attraction. Yes a lot of the store is a little goofy, but make sure you have some free ice water and a Wall Drug doughnut. They are the old fashioned cake doughnuts, deep fat fried. The doughnuts have been made the same there for over 50 years. NO THEY ARE NOT HEALTHY, but they are soooooooo good! Go ahead and have a little frosting on top if you like, or have them plain, they are still good. When I went back home for Thanksgiving, my fellow teachers wanted me to bring back a couple dozen. They left the teachers lounge like nothing I ever saw!
