The adage "Everything old is new again" is predominant in our society today.
Since we have quite a bit of nostalgia freaks on here and some guys and gals born in the 70s and 80s I'd like to see what yalls favorite 80s toy is. Forgive me if ive forgotten one on the poll but it only alows for 10 so if you would like just post your favorite toy. Lord knows ive spent a lot of time back in the early 80s buying and playing with them transformers. I swear you spend 80 percent of the time transforming those toys and the other time playing with them but it made for a great child hood. Ive managed to collect and ressurect a few some of these toys from back then... especially my pride and joy original die cast 12" voltron. It's just the best feeling when you see something that brought you pleasure as a kid. Some good times man. Let the fun commence...

Loved my Star Wars figures. Especially my Luke and Boba Fett. Transformers takes second.

I'd have to say that the Star Wars toys would have been my favorite from your list, but go with Lego as the best - and it still is pretty damn cool.

Hey what about Lego and Smurf?

It is so funny the 80's in the US how different was from the 80's in my country. We had all those cartoons but they were "the darker stages of the 80's", in my country we where more in to japanesse animation:
    -Mazinger Z
    -Voltron
    -Battle of the planets

    Later on;
    -Galactica
    -V

    and the good shows:
    -Cosmos
    -The twight light zone
    -etc.

We had more european influence, specially with the music. The US musc was way too comertial (as always) but the european had personality in to it.

    Garbage Pail Kids

Earlier this year I decided to rekindle my childhood memories and recollect Garbage Pail Kids. I ended up buying a bunch through ebay, and actually found a guy who's able to get whichever 1st & 2nd series I want. I'm about halfway through my 1st series collection, and 1/4 through 2nd. I forgot how much fun these things were...he he he ;)

anyone around happen to have any in good shape they are willing to part with?

are your referring to those things that were always green (i think) and they were like transformers in that they transformed from "figures" into all sorts of construction machines???
