I was wondering which Final Cut I need to mix footage with different frame rates and codecs. I'm being asked to create a project from footage taken from different cameras, dvds/cds, and aspect ratios. Is this possible? If so, what do I need? Anything I need to keep in mind?

If at all possible, I would like to perform this in FCP5.1.

Thanks.

You can mix formats in any version of Final Cut Pro, but you will have to render clips that are different from the setting you set for the sequence unless you have Final Cut Pro 6. Final Cut Pro 6 will save you time in this regard, but it isn't necessary.
