FCP4 doesnt like music?

i have an older iMac and a 2ghz g5. i have fcp4 on both. whenever i try to import my own audio, it skips. this happens on both machines. i looked at apple's forums, but couldnt find the topic. anyone know how to fix this?

Make sure you the audio you import is 48khz sampling rate...I found out this problem 2 years ago.
