Fed up with applecare

    My pb logic board needed to be relaplced. (Ram slot was broken) I was going away on vacation. I figurued i would drop it off on Sunday 8/20, it would go out on monday and have it back by weekend, begining of this week. Well I got back from vacation and i didn't get a call that it was ready. I checked their was a part on order....Time passes and i'm starting to worry cause i leave for school on tuesday. I call up the part isn't going to be in until the 4th. Plus its labor day so their not going to work on it till tuesday and then ship it back. So now i'm typing away on my old P II w/ windoze 98 :eek:

    sry felt like ranting. Any advice before i call up again and complain? I want a replacement. This whole thing is complete BS:mad:

    First time you've sent it in?

    Don't even begin to expect a replacement, if so.

    Labour Day isn't Apple's fault btw.

    A part is a part, if they don't have it then there is nothing you or they can do, I mean they ARE fixing it yes? Whats the problem, I've heard worse stories but I don't mean to make yours any less important. Just remember its all relative and they are not trying to deliberately screw you up.

    This will be the second time they replace the logic board and i sent it back after the first one came back cause the casing was dented.....
    iGary how did u handle sending in your PM all those times. I'm lucky i don't need it for work like you

    I know their not trying to screw me but its annoying all the other repairs have come back within a week so i was expecting the same. (should have thought a head..)

    I'm on the phone with apple now to change the return address to an apple store near my school cause it doesn't look like its going to be fixed until i leave for school. But anyone else find the guy every 30 seconds telling you to hold please, all our representives are busy now. Its driving me nuts! and BTW they need different music, its very annoying :eek:
