Hi everyone, we know that there are some pretty knowledgeable people about in these forums so, if you can spare the time, we'd love to hear your opinions of some sites that we're currently working on.

http://zero-to-hero.com - somewhere to go to be passionate about your beliefs! (feel free to start zeroing or heroing!)

    and

http://nervous.org.uk - our homepage. Comments on the design would be appreciated (love/hate/ambivalent).

    Thanks!

    arf & matt

i think the two sites are great, i am a really confident HTML and fairly confident PHP programmer and looking at learning more Web 2.0 technologies.

So my question is how did you do the pop-up boxes for the portfolio?

I am guessing a div with a bit of Javascript, but i think that is where i lack knowledge.

    thanks!

Hi and thanks, pleased you liked the sites. To answer your question about the pop-ups we used the script.aculo.us/ libraries. They're a really elegant solution to the problem of showing large images in a page but not written by us sadly!
    :)
