    Hi,

I have just purchased an ibook g3 600 Mhz with 640 mgb of ram on os 10.4.8, it should arrive on Thursday. I was wondering if I am going to find it hard to use after my C2D iMac, i will only be using it for browsing the internet and checking emails. Will boot time and switching between programs be unbearably slow? Am I kidding myself that the 640 Mgbtes of ram will make it okish?

    Any help appreciated.

Until a few weeks ago I had a 500Mhz G3 iBook that I used for occasional surfing, email checking and some light word processing. It worked fine for these purposes – of course, it was slow when it came to using more demanding apps but unless you're wanting to do anything too strenuous with it you should be alright.
