how much can i expect should i put my MBP on sale? with the new MBP out, i'm a bit tempted :D

    specs:

    17" 1680x1050
    2.16 GHz
    2GB RAM
    120GB Harddrive
    Superdrive

    perfect cosmetic condition
perfect running condition, no overheating nor whining

    is 2400 too much?

Hmmm $2400 seems high in light of the dramatic improvements. 2GB standard on the new one, 2.33 C2D, 160GB Hard Drive, Full Warranty,, $2800, or $2600 with Ed Discount.

I would be intested for the right price.

I think if you slapped it on ebay today you might find people who don't have a clue that the new model is out and would pay $2400 for yours in a heartbeat if you did a Buy it Now price of $2400 or so.

Yes, probably. On the apple refurb store you can get the sime machine (minus a GB of ram) for 2200 (before tax i believe). So $2400 might be a little to high.

In all honesty i don't really think it is worth it for you to both upgrading. You would be loosing more money then is really necessary for an upgrade that is of no huge benefit to you.

that's a good question, weird. anyways, i also was going to say that 2400 might be a little too much. i could get the new one with edu discount for less than $200 more, with a 160GB hard drive.

like the other person said, it might not be the smartest thing to upgrade. but it's your money, i'm in no place to tell someone to not get a new computer.

so you definitely don't think this is worthy of upgrading? i was thinking if i can sell this for 2400 ... or even 2300, i might get a 15 incher... the only thing i liked about this 17" is that it has dual layer and it has FW800... now that 15" has both, it also has the less weight...

Take it to eBay. You can cash in on the people who don't know C2D MBP are out.

I would guess around $2,100 give or take $100 (so, basically, between $2,000 and $2,200)

If your including the CD's for that software with the computer then that's a steal of a price. If not, the moderators are going to either remove your thread or modify it because it's against forum rules to mention software on a computer that your not providing the CD's for.

i believe the rule is that you aren't allowed to discuss pirated software in any fasion... but selling computer with software that you aren't providing the CD is not quite pirated software.

Absolutely it is. it's the same as if the person buying it stole the software.

I would give you $2,000 for it, via Paypal, if you are interested in really selling.
