Ferrari at Laguna Seca = Doh!

    How lucky was this guy... :eek: apparently this is the same monocoque, chassis #193 that Schu broke both of his legs at Silverstone in 1999! :eek:

    Wasn't even that fast of an impact... somewhere in the region of 66mph into a tyre barrier, yet that nose is so cleanly broken off it's like someone took a rather big hacksaw to it! :eek:

    Here's another view... judging by the nose it wasn't a 'massive' impact, must be a material failure or something.

    final pic... even the suspension is still intact, which along with the front wing is usually the first to go. :eek:

    I wonder if this was one of the cars actually maintained by Maranello, they have a dedicated department that services and maintains F1 Ferrari's that customers have purchased! :confused:

    Still can't believe how clean that break is... :eek:

    Thats very scary, I'll have to think twice before I get back in my F1 car now. :D But there mst have been a serious flaw in the manufacturing process for this to happen!!
