Hi,

I'm hoping that I can get a .doc file into a file maker layout as a background.

It's two pages and there are many fields already set up on the .doc

I don't suspect that it will be possible to preserve the fields so I am expecting that I will have to make the fields on my own.

Am I correct on this?

In summary, I would like to be able to make this .doc file a background in a file maker layout so as to put fields on it and print it as one.

Thanks!

You can import graphics into Filemaker layouts. Print your .doc file as a PDF and import it into Filemaker. You may then create input fields on top of the imported PDF. If your .doc file is just a plain form, it might be a lot simpler just to replicate the form in Filemaker.
