Hey... I have recently had the sudden urge to one again play Final Fantasy 8. The only problem is that I no longer have a PSX or PC! I was wondering how you guys thought the game would run under VPC on my PB. My powerbook is a stock 1.33ghz 12". The specs for the game are extremely low, so I'm thinking it might run fine. The specs are as follows:
    266 MHz Pentium II
    Microsoft Windows 95 or 98
    64 MB RAM
    4 MB video card
    8x CD-ROM drive
    DirectX 6.1 (included)
Direct Sound and Direct Music compatible sound card
16 MB 3-D accelerated graphics card recommended

Do you think it would run? And if not, does anyone know of any good mac PSX emulators that I could run the PSX version from? Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.

I have the Windows version, and it's completely unplayable under VPC on my 1.25 GHz G4.

The PSX version should work though, I've successfully played the PSX version of FF9 using the Flarestorm emulator. Hansi has a helpful PSX emulation site.
