2 new additions. Just picked them up this morning.
I posted back in March that my wife let it slip that I was getting the 1911 for my birthday, then she decided she wanted a new gun for my birthday also
Her's is the top one.
Kimber 1911 9mm Sapphire Ultra II
while I was at the shop I had them add the Crimson Trace trigger guard green laser
Mine is on bottom.
Kimber 1911 45acp Custom Crimson Carry II comes with built in Crimson Trace green laser in the grips.

Currently only have a Smith and Wesson M&P 15 OR, I am buying a Glock 19 in the next few months, and I am SBR'ing my M&P to make it nice and compact for home defense. I use 75gr Hornady TAP

Now is the time to SBR. E-File Form 1 w/ trust and you are looking around 60 days turn around.

Damn thats good, I was going to wait until I had money for the new 11.5 Upper but I may do it sooner if the turn around is faster. As soon as I am 21 a suppressor will be going on there too

This was my most recent purchase. Although it doesn't look like much, this is actually a somewhat hard to find gun that I lucked into at a local flea market.
It's a Smith and Wesson model of 1899. The 1899 model is distinguished from later models by the lack of a front locking lug at the end of the ejector rod.
1899 models are, in and of themselves, not scarce. This one, however, is chambered in "32 Winchester", better known today as 32-20(and one of my favorite cartridges!). There were roughly 5000 1899 models made in 32-20.
For anyone who has ever taken apart a Smith and Wesson revolver, the action on this is actually a fair bit different from later guns. There are no coil springs to be found anywhere-the trigger return is actually handled by a small leaf spring and cam.
I took this one to the range today with some(light) handloads. To be 115 years old with sights that are next to impossible to see indoors(the front is about the width of a dime, and the rear sight a slightly wider notch cut into the frame), and have a barrel that looks like a sewer pipe, it actually didn't shoot too badly.

I'm not really a shotgun-shooting man, but I do have a weakness for old Winchesters.
A few months back, I stopped by the local Cabelas(I stay on REALLY good terms with the gun library manager and most of the guys who work there) with my mind on buying a Winchester Model 12. None were really "speaking" to me, as most of what they had were refinished and/or had a Cutt's Compensator fitted(neither of which I wanted). I talked all of it over with the manager, and slipped a mention of the fact that what I'd really like was an 1897 model. He told me to wait a minute, and came back carrying the below out of the vault. When I was told the price($160), I absolutely couldn't pass it up.
It's a 16 gauge made sometime around 1910. Although no 1897 is exactly rare, there are a lot fewer out there in 16 gauge than in 12 gauge. The finish could be better, but it shoots great and is very clean inside.
This gun did make me go out and buy a shotgun reloading press. 16 gauge shells aren't hard to find, but shot size selection is limited(about the only thing you'll find at most stores is either #6 or #7 1/2 shot, or sometimes slugs) and most commercial ammo is loaded in high brass at around 1200fps with 1 oz. or 1 1/8 oz of shot. These are hunting loads, and if I want to blast some clays or whatever else at the range for an afternoon, I don't want to beat up myself-or more importantly the gun-with those type loads. Unfortunately, it's even hard to find load data for low pressure or low velocity loads.

I have an S&W M&P collection also, although mine looks quite a bit different from yours.
Even though I've not gotten into polymer handguns, I was thrilled to see Smith and Wesson resurrect the "M&P"(Military and Police) name a few years back. The M&P name was used extensively for "K" frame size revolvers from 1899 until the introduction of model numbers in 1958.
Here's my collection of M&Ps, although there are a few model-marked guns in there too that I include as part of the collection due to their common lineage and essentially identical internals.
Top row, left to right: Postwar(S-serial number series) 6" M&P in 38 Special; Model of 1905 4th change 5" M&P in 32-20, and model of 1905; 4th change 4" M&P in 38 Special
Bottom Row, l to r: 6" Model 14-1, a descendent of the K-38 M&P Target Masterpiece in 38 special; 4" M&P model of 1899 in "32 Winchester"(aka 32-20), 4" Model 64-5 heavy barrel(stainless steel equivalent of the Model 10, a direct descendent of the model of 1905 38 special M&P) in 38 Special, with a factory double action only hammer.
With the exception of the 1899 model, all guns have grips that are at least correct in style and close to the same age as the gun(although the 14-1 falls on the border to where it maybe should have diamond-center grips). The 6" M&P and the 5" 32-20 have been refinished, all others are(to my knowledge) original finish.
The major pieces I'm missing out of this set are 2" and 5" barrels in 38 Special(the 5" is a high priority for me), although I could also look for guns of all variations in both and nickel. I really would like to find some prewar target models, both in 38 special and especially in 32-20(the 32-20s have gotten pricey).

If money was no object I would be getting a SCAR and a Kriss Vector SBR first, but for an AR-15 it would be a 12.5" 300BLK with a Suppressor and whatever accessories you want.
