Today I noticed that my firewire connetion, on both ports, wasn't working anymore. I noticed a problem when I woudl connect my iPod because iTunes would hang on import about halfway through. I also had an iSight set up, and went to use it and didn't get any signal. Now both ports don't anymore, but still send a power signal to the iPod and iSight. I have no clue what happened.

So now I am stuck with no iPod and no iSight. ( well I do have the USB iPod connector and that works fine). Does anyone have any idea what has happened? I have a G4 MDD Dual 1ghz, and have never had a problem with it until now.

Turn off the computer for 24 hours? Why is that necessary?
